BLOCK PARTY!!!!
This past year visual artists Martin Travers and Jan H. DeHartog painted a series of 10 canvases based on stories of people in the neighbourhood of 2de Van der helststraat, in the pijp. The ending of the project is being celebrated as a block party where they will showcase their art pieces. It brings together the art, local music, performances and businesses in the neighbourhood that have been very supportive of putting this event together. Everyone that is part of the
project is doing it out of the love of thier heart and no financial gain! Give special thanks to the musicians!!!I am very blessed to be organising this event and to live in this multicultural, diverse and lovely neighborhood in Amsterdam.
